About us

String Project is an Italian brand that produces monofilament and multifilament tennis strings. It was created to provide products that are both high-performing and, at the same time, not harmful to players’ arms.

After 2 years of testing, the first models of strings were produced, which underwent further improvements during the production phase, making them final at the launch of the company and the birth of the brand.

To improve the tennis of those who play with our strings! We believe that finding the right string that suits the player’s needs can significantly improve their performance. That’s why we are constantly researching and continuously improving our strings.

Another fundamental aspect of our project is related to joint protection, aiming to create "Arm Friendly" strings.

We design and create our products based on QUALITY - PERFORMANCE - IDENTITY - PROTECTION.

Quality is ensured through the use of state-of-the-art materials and compounds, among the best available, with multiple thermal fixations that enhance their properties over time, and high-profile manufacturing processes, strictly Made in Austria.

Performance is the most important aspect in our strings. We design each individual model with the dynamic characteristic, identity, and performance it should possess in mind. Everything is developed around the ideal string to be achieved as the final product. Power, control, spin—whatever you’re looking for, you will find your ideal string.

Identity is what defines our products. No string is alike, each one has unique and distinct characteristics to cater to the different needs of tennis players. Every string has its own main feature, more pronounced than the others. Power, control, or spin? There is a string for everything.

Protection is paramount, and we exclusively develop strings that can protect the joints from impact shocks. None of our products have excessive stiffness, and all of them utilize materials that can dampen harmful vibrations for the arm. Our strings are Arm-Friendly.

Technologies

We utilize the best available technologies on the market. We use top-quality materials, employ various chemical processes, and subject our strings to three thermal treatments to stabilize the materials and achieve a string with medium-low stiffness and high performance.

In addition, our strings are finished with a liquid wax to reduce friction and increase durability.

This technology allows molecules' chains to twitch several times resulting a loss of minimal tension and, above all, keeping a higher feature's steadiness.

Pre-Stretch

Thanks to the pre-stretch of the core, the entire string minimizes the loss of strain and, at the same time, it allows to reduce the stringing tension.

Double Heating

"Heating treatments" remove internal stress and align string's potential irregularities. Moreover, they make strings more flexible and elastic.

Liquid Wax

The string is perfected with a wax layer. This treatment extends the duration substantially reducing the wear and making stringing easier.

Low Friction

String's Friction's decrease offers: diminished strings' motion, greater potential spin due to greater snap back and a lasting duration.

Power Ribbons icon

Power Ribbons

We use Ribbons made of "polypropylene" and "polyamide" wrapped with different layers of thickness so that they overlap and are diametrically opposed thus simulating the structure of a "natural gut" string.

Thanks to the "braided core" we are able to achieve uniform elasticity and high strength capacity.
